Terra Memoria is now on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC

In the market for a new turn-based RPG that mixes in retro vibes with magic and mystery? Terra Memoria is that game.

Available right now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC is Terra Memoria. It comes from the La Moutarde and Dear Villagers teams as players get the opportunity to quest forth with a cute and cozy little adventure. And this one chucks in magic, crafting, mysteries and friendship for good measure.

Terra Memoria is now available

Priced at £17.99 from the Xbox Store, Terra Memoria takes you on a little road trip in which you’ll build a party of characters, each with their own backstory and skills. From there, turn-based combat awaits, with those unique skills coming to the fore with every step.

Cozy and whimsical, Terra Memoria works with a 3D visual system, complemented by pixel art as a world unfolds. It’s in here where you’ll be left to craft, to build and to repair, all whilst hunting for the magic crystals that keep the world whole.

Having first come to attention back in 2023, and then whipping up a bit of a storm during a recent Steam Next Fest, Terra Memoria is one that comes hotly anticipated. The key features should help sell it some more.

Key game features

  • Go on a road trip – Set up your camp with the handyman and the blacksmith while the summoner and the sorcerer cook tonight’s dinner. By the fireside, stories of a shapeshifter and the tunes of a bard resonate. That’s how another day of travel with your new friends ends.
  • Explore the world of Terra – Discover a cute little RPG and its world that combines 3D and pixel art, as well as its authentic music crafted with love. What’s important is the journey! Take your time, take every path, and befriend eccentric citizens (why are they so weird?).
  • Craft, build, repair – Use a unique construction tool to change the world and solve puzzles. Buildings and decorations – craft everything and construct a village!
  • Write a regional guide – A local recipe, the mayor’s portrait, or a real false treasure map? Every piece of information is good to add to this participatory publication.

Terra Memoria is our love letter to JRPGs. We wanted to have a very chill adventure that would be the bridge between casual gamers and JRPGs hardcore fans, to also give to people that are not especially JRPGs fans (yet eh eh) a way to discover this amazing genre. So you have crystals shortage plot, a huge story mode with side quests, turn based combats with an easy-to-understand timeline, crafting and cooking at campfires… in a vibrant world that will make you feel at home, where the more important thing is the adventure that characters share with each-other.” – La Moutarde

Buy now!

You can buy Terra Memoria from the Xbox Store, playing it on Xbox Series X|S. You won’t be able to spend time with this one on Xbox One though.

Alternatively, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC folk should be equally sorted.

Stay tuned for our full review of Terra Memoria on Xbox.
