Available to purchase and download this very minute, Thy Sword rocks up onto Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, with a Nintendo Switch launch fast following those on the 15th May. And whilst not quite as cheap as previous Ratalaika releases like Thunder Paw and Rush Rover, it’s still one that provides a whole ton of temptation.
Thy Sword will instead set you back a cool £9.99, but for that price it promises to provide a retro-styled game that focuses heavily on a world full of danger and monsters – thankfully you’re given the chance to hack ‘n slash your way through it.
Playing things out as a different hero – with the likes of a Barbarian and Valkyrie available should you so wish – Thy Sword will see you trying to take down the evil Dark Overlord. Nothing special there you may think, but with Thy Sword you’ll not just also get to choose between heroes, but also amend the difficulty to your liking, letting you suit it to your own unique playstyle.
Throw in the chance to enjoy this adventure alone or with cooperative friends, and the opportunity to take home a load of crystalic loot, and you’ve got a game that promises much.
