Can you escape?

Escape rooms have been all the rage in social spaces for a good few years now. However, it is only recently that the video games landscape has caught up. The likes of Escape Academy testing players from the comfort of their homes. How 2 Escape is a similar title, in which two players must work together to solve puzzles, avoid traps, and escape!

Comms Are Live

How 2 Escape is now available on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC.

Emy has awoken on a speeding train, with little clue of just how to get out of this deathtrap. In order to reach the end of this terrifying locomotive and pull the brake lever, she must communicate with her brother Johann. He is on the other end of the phone; an omnipresent voice with all the clues to Emy’s freedom. Given that How 2 Escape is a co-op game, you can see where this is going. We get the feeling that it’s going to play very much like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

With one player controlling Emy with the controller, and the other playing as Johann with the free How 2 Escape mobile companion app, two players will have to communicate effectively to solve all manner of puzzles. This makes How 2 Escape a great game for friends and family that may be separated over long distances – only one player needs to own the game.

Each wagon of the train is timed, so there’s no room for dilly-dallying. Rush around the carriage, figure out which puzzles need to be solved and how, and get to it! The longer you wait, the tougher the challenge will become, so time truly is of the essence.

Available Now!

How 2 Escape is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC.

You can pick up a copy for ÂŁ12.49 via the Xbox Store. Oh, and make sure to check out our full review of How 2 Escape on Xbox, coming soon!

Game Description

How 2 Escape is an escape-simulation game where two players will need to cooperate on asymmetrical gameplay and devices.

2 players, 2 ways to play.

First player on Xbox embodies the character trapped in the train, exploring and playing with the environment.

Second player will use the dedicated free companion app* to get various information and try to understand how to help the first player and be able to escape from this unfortunate travel…

Each wagon is timed in different ways that you’ll discover. Running out of time means defeat.

The longer you wait, the more difficult it is to see clearly…

Both players will need to interact with each other and focus on their sense. Puzzles will require logic, coordination, observation and listening but most of all: communication!

No time to chitchat. Get out of the trapped train. Every second is counted.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
