EpiXR Games have made a bit of a name for themselves with some delightfully relaxing affairs – games like the Aery series and Life of Fly allow us to contemplate life, kicking back with little worries. We thought that was going to be EpiXR’s focus going forward too, but seems we were wrong as they’ve now pushed out the killer clowns of Death Park to Xbox. Yep, killer clowns.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Death Park has been created by those at Euphoria Games, with EpiXR picking up the publishing rights to move it to console. It’s certainly very different to the publisher’s previous options.
Priced at £4.99, Death park whisks us off to an abandoned amusement park, complete with creepy circus and inhabitants. It’s here where you’ll find yourself face to face with a killer clown as you attempt to navigate your way past him, solving puzzles, picking up clues – and generally crapping yourself – at every given opportunity.
Every noise you make will see the clown come and hunt you down, so moving around as quietly as you can would be our advice. But you’ll also need to move fast, if only so you don’t have to frequent the horrors of this amusement park for any longer than need be.
There’s definitely a type of gamer out there who gets off on the whole scares and horrors that Death Park looks to provide and so if you are one of those, the cheap asking price this comes with should make this a bit of a no-brainer. For all others? Well, you could hold tight and give our upcoming review of Death Park on Xbox Series X|S a read, uncovering a few secrets before delving in for yourself. Or you could run a mile, forget Death Park ever existed and get on with your life in a quiet and calm manner – heading back to Aery or Life of Fly would probably be best there.
