The original Cook, Serve, Delicious! is now on Xbox

It started with Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!, then we had Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!, but now it’s time to take it back to the start with the release of Cook, Serve, Delicious!

We’re not sure on Vertigo Gaming’s marketing strategy for Cook, Serve, Delicious, but we’re willing to let a numbering issue and strange rollout of the series to go, especially since this is a franchise and series we’ve had great joy with over the years. It does seem strange though to see the first Cook, Serve, Delicious! landing on Xbox so many years after the games that should follow it. 

Get the buds going

But it is what it is and if you have played either CSD 2 or CSD 3 in recent time, we’d guess you’ll be chomping at the bit to get involved in Cook, Serve, Delicious!. Consider a £10.74 price tag, discounted at launch, and it gets those taste buds salivating. 

It’s availabel right now, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as you dip your toe into the world of restaurant owning. Thankfully this one isn’t likely to be quite as hectic as PlateUp!, but Cook, Serve, Delicious! will have you needing to get your management hat on. 

Dealing with menus full of recipes and food types, going to work in Cook, Serve, Delicious!. Mostly because there will be things trying to put a halt to your culinary ideas at every step of the way. For instance, impatient customers will pale into insignificance when you keep getting robbed. 

With local cooperative and multiplayer play in hand, you can at least get a bit of help in Cook, Serve, Delicious! on Xbox. And you may well need it too, as you try and overcome a ton of challenge, unlocking characters as you go.

“Cook, Serve, Delicious!” is a deceptively easy game to learn but incredibly challenging to master as you progress from owning a rundown zero-star cafe into a five-star world famous restaurant.

Manage your restaurant as you balance out your menu with thirty foods and hundreds of recipes, compete in cooking television shows and mysterious tournaments, and upgrade your equipment while battling robbers, impatient customers, and lots more!

You can also play local co-op as one person cooks and the other expedites the orders! Or have up to four players locally with the included “Battle Kitchen” expansion, featuring dozens of challenges and unlockable characters.
