It wasn’t that long ago that we told you how The Rumble Fish 2 would soon be breaking out of the East and onto a global stage. Well now the fully confirmed release date is known – along with details of a physical Collector’s Edition and the inclusion of the original Arcade version chucked in.
Having first released on the Atomiswave platform back in 2005, The Rumble Fish 2 will now be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. Building on the original which came with flashy gameplay, super moves and a colourful cast of characters, we’re expecting much from 3goo and Dimps Corporations fighter.
Due to release on 8th December 2022, not only will it drop digitally onto the usual systems, but fans of the cult classic will be able to pick up a physical Collector’s Edition. Not only will this include The Rumble Fish 2 base game, but also the Original Arcade Version of the game; a faithful port of the Atomiswave version and exclusive to those buying that physical edition.
The Collector’s Edition will be available in Japan on release – that same 8th Dec date – and then in the rest of the world at a later date.
The Collector’s Edition will come in a beautiful outer-box featuring newly drawn visuals by YukinariZ, who created the character designs and artwork for the arcade version of The Rumble Fish.
