Lunar Axe hits out on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

Whilst we had hopes that this would be the next iteration of Golden Axe, Lunar Axe instead comes to Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch with different plans. Yep, immersion, point and click adventures and a ton of mysteries await here. 

Hitting the console gaming scene via the QUByte Interactive and Ops Game Studio teams is Lunar Axe. A point and click adventure in which the locations and story have been fully inspired by real world places, it releases today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. 

A mysterious adventure

Priced at £4.19, Lunar Axe will see you heading out on a journey in which you’ll be found investigating, collecting, matching clues and grabbing objects. You’ll do this in order to solve the puzzles and mysteries in place, working your way through some seriously cool hand-drawn art. 

Lunar Axe tells the tale of how a. huge earthquake has hit a city, leaving you trapped inside a collapsed building. From there, you’re left to find the way out, escaping the house, trying to understand the tremors that are occurring. Without spoiling things, in Lunar Axe you’ll come face to face with the guardian spirit of a mystical artifact…

What this means is you’ll mostly be on the hunt, searching out historical items. And in Lunar Axe, you’ll do that be sifting through locations that have come about via real world environments. This ensures a combination of legend and history like no other.

You’ll find Lunar Axe on the Xbox Store. Take in a download from there and you’ll find this playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. 

Alternatively, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch storefronts will be equally welcoming. Lunar Axe has been on Steam for a while too – those ‘Very Positive’ reviews might just be enough to sell a look on console.

Lunar Axe Description

Lunar Axe is a point-and-click adventure game with locations and story inspired by real places with incredible hand-drawing art. The story begins after a massive earthquake rocks the city, trapping you inside the ruins of a collapsed building. Now, you must find a way to escape this abandoned house, unravel the mystery behind the strange tremors, and meet the guardian spirit of a mystical artifact.

Investigate, collect, match clues and objects through various puzzles and HOG scenes. Find historical items that will help you understand the mystery that surrounds the city. Explore different locations based on real environments that offer a perfect combination of legend and history, learning more about the real facts that inspired the game with a gallery of references.

You must solve puzzles and explore different environments to find a mystical weapon and discover the mystery behind earthquakes that are destroying the city.
