The Tour kicks off for real in a few weeks time, but prior to Frome, Contador and Nibali coasting the flats of the Netherlands and hitting the slopes of the rather scary Alpe D’Huez, you can recreate the tense atmosphere with the Tour De France 2015 videogame…and it’s out right now, as is the launch trailer.
Available on Xbox One, PS3 and PS4, Tour De France 2015 covers the most prestigous cycling race in history. With new features aplenty, you’ll get to take on the role of a pro cyclist as you ride through 21 stages of the Tour, the Critérium International and the Critérium du Dauphiné.
You’ll need to conserve your energy before timing your attack for the best possible moment. But you won’t be able to go it alone, as team strategy and issuing orders to your team mates is an essential part of proceedings.
As always, PC players will get extra ‘management’ features thanks to Pro Cycling Manager 2015.
