If you’ve fallen out with your partner during lockdown, why not bring them back on side with a co-op game of Biped? It’s collaborative, it’s family friendly, it’s got funny walks. It’s everything you need in two colourful, robotic packages.
Launching today on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 after a successful run on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Biped comes laden with positive reviews. Official trailers show a chunky, colourful platform-puzzler with some chucklesome animations and a fine line in minigame sections.
You’ll play as one of two robots, Aku or Sila, and the two analogue sticks on your gamepad will control each of their spindly legs. This looks like it might be clumsy fun as you fumble your way through levels, trying to do simple things like navigating bridges and climbing stairs. It’s solo or co-op, so the fun can be doubled, if you fancy.
Most importantly, you can unlock hats for your robot, showing your mastery over your own legs with a top hat. This is how you do things in the future. And visually, the whole thing looks bright as a button, with sunkissed forests, waterfalls and ice lands to waddle through like a robotic ostrich.
Check the review when it launches, and find out whether Biped is a must-Buy-ped. Our guess is it will be just as essential as it’s been on other systems.
