TXH’s Top 5 Xbox One game trailers

Trailers are everywhere. There are launch trailers, live-action trailers, gameplay trailers, release date trailers, trailer trailers (well maybe not that one). There have been so many over the last couple of weeks that it seems to me that it would be a good idea to pick up on a few of our favourites.

So without further ado and in no particular order, are TheXboxHub’s top 5 Xbox One trailers.

The first I have to mention is the Xbox Invitation video. It wasn’t the first video we saw and by then we already had plenty of info flying around with regards to games and hardware, but it was the first to bring Xbox One games to life and make the whole damn thing seem much closer to reality.

I’d like to then mention the NBA Live 14 next gen gameplay trailer that was released. This was one of the first trailers I saw that showcased the full power of the next gen technology. I’m in no way a basketball fan and could still quite easily give the game a miss, but in the same breath I still can’t get over how realistic those players look!

And whilst on the subject of next gen technology, I have to give a shout for the FIFA 14 next generation reveal video. It doesn’t show the gorgeous graphics associated with the NBA one, but it does show a number of the new techniques found in the Xbox One version of FIFA14. A big FIFA clubs player, I’m very much looking forward to how these things play out on the park.

Trailers are good for all manner of things, but one of the big pluses is they draw in an audience that may otherwise not be overly fussed with the product. This is where Ryse Son of Rome has excelled. It’s another game that two months ago, you wouldn’t have found me dead playing. But with the help of countless vids showcasing the style, graphics and overall gameplay, it’s now one that is firmly on my radar. The Ryse launch trailer rounds off numerous vidoes very nicely.

And last up is possibly my favourite of all those Xbox One videos. Anyone reading TXH on a regular basis will know that I’m a bit of a Forza fan. The series has delighted me from it’s conception and Forza 5 is, for me at least, the most sought after of games on the next gen. I was and still am absolutely astounded by the Forza Filmspeed video and never tire of watching it.

There we have it, my top 5 Xbox One game trailers from the last few months. If the games live up to some of that shown, then we are in for a huge treat come Friday 22nd November.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
