This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale is joined by the Xbox 360 Super Sale. Surely that must therefore mean there are a huge number of discounted Xbox One and Xbox 360 games to think about purchasing? Well, yes, it does. But not all are great buys and whilst many of the discounts are brilliant, there are the odd ones which aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
But which are the best and worst deals of the week? Let us take a little look.
Grab – Ziggurat – 60% off – £4.80 – Xbox One
It may have a few minor gameplay issues and the story mode which is held within may hit the limit at just a few hours in, but Ziggurat on Xbox One is worth a shot at £4.80.
A simple first person shooter which focuses its entire time on dungeon crawling, Ziggurat dropped onto the Xbox Games Store back at the start of 2015, bringing plenty of explorative, rather random shooting in the process. But we liked it, and we still do like it so the opportunity to grab it for just a little under a fiver shouldn’t be turned down.
It’s not going to keep you busy forever more, but you’ll enjoy what you find.
Grab – Deus Ex Human Revolution – 75% off – £2.99 – Xbox 360
If you’re an Xbox One owner, chances are you would have at the very least been tempted by Adam Jenson’s latest tale, Mankind Divided.
If you did, but never managed to get round to playing the previous tale, then now is the time to sort yourself out. Hell, even if you played it previously, then you should still be snapping this absolute bargain up as a matter of urgency. Deus Ex Human Revolution is brilliant and it’s cheap. There’s combat, there’s stealth and there’s a whole ton of Augs ready to be messes around with.
And for just £2.99 – yes, you’re reading that right, less than £3 – Deus Ex: Human Revolution could be yours. What’s not to like?
Oh, it’s Back-Compat on Xbox One too 🙂
Grab – Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon – 60% off – £3.99 – Xbox 360
It may not be as good as the stupidly stunning Far Cry 4, and it may just be a spin-off from the brilliant Far Cry 3, but Blood Dragon is, in its own right, an impressive title.
Playing on the old 80s VHS vision of the future vibe, Blood Dragon will put you on a mission to get the girl, kill the baddies and save the entire planet, all whilst navigating your way through the weird open world that is populated by cyborgs, mutants and the awesome Blood Dragons.
For £4, it’s a no brainer! Buy it!
Leave – STAR WARS Battlefront Ultimate Edition – 30% off – £38.49 – Xbox One
The standout ‘Leave’ of the week goes to Star Wars!
It’s just been confirmed in the last week that Star Wars Battlefront will be making its way to the EA Access scheme on Xbox One before the year is out. Granted, it’ll no doubt be the standard version of the game, the one that brings little content to the table, but it’ll be Battlefront none the less.
And that therefore makes it real tricky to be able to recommend you bothering to check it out now, especially for the price that any of the three versions have been discounted to. Yes, it’s a huge saving over the initial price, but when you can pick up EA Access for the entire year for £20, then that is where the smart money goes.
Don’t forget, if you like the look of our choices then you should also be taking a visit to CDKeys and grabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit too. It’s the smart thing to do!
So that’s about your lot for this week, but as always, don’t forget to let us know what you are tempted by. If you want to check out the full deals for the week, then you can find the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale right here.
Why did the dinosaurs die out?
Is this version of Deus Ex backwards compatible do you know?
It certainly is! Another reason to buy it.
