This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is now here and it brings you the chance to grab some more discounted titles. But which are the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 offers on the table between the 31st May – 6th June 2016…and which are the worst?
Well, unfortunately we’re struggling to find much to get excited about this week with very few Xbox One or Xbox 360 titles worthy of the cash asked of them. If you really must buy something though, then feel free to read on…
Grab – Battlefield Hardline Getaway – 100% off – Free
Now this one is a bit of a no-brainer.
Whether you own Battlefield Hardline or not, we advise you to go and ‘purchase’ the free download of the Getaway expansion pack asap. If you have already bought the game, then there is nothing wrong with a bit of free extra content to go with it, whilst if you’ve still held off on a purchase of the full title, you never know what may happen in the future. With that in mind, pick up the Getaway right now. For nothing.
Like we say – it’s a no-brainer.
Tempter – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD – 67% off – £3.29
Once upon a time we would have been urging you to grab any Tony Hawk’s title that you could find, especially at £3. Now though, it’s nothing more than a bit of a tempter at best.
Pro Skater HD isn’t bad, but it’s certainly not going to knock your socks off and even the promise of some of the best levels from the original THPS and Pro Skater 2 isn’t really enough to convince us otherwise. For the price though, it’s just about worth a little shot if you’re still rolling around on Xbox 360.
At least it’s better than the game below…but then, anything is better than the game below.
Leave – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 – 60% off – £12.00
Ah yes, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5. The latest, the greatest and the bestest Tony Hawk’s title there has ever been. The Tony Hawk’s title that utilisies every ounce of the Xbox One’s power, bringing everything together in the best damn skater the world has ever seen.
Or not. As is most definitely the case here.
For Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is quite possibly the worst of all the Xbox One games that are currently available. It promised seamless multiplayer, it promised the chance to play as a pro and it promised us the opportunity to take in endless shred sessions like never before. But it’s all a bit rubbish – as the Metacritic reviews point to!
Just leave it well alone.
If you like the look of the stuff above and decide to grab something, we’d love it if you could tell us what you pick up in the comments below. If you fancy saving even more cash as well, then you may wish to head on over to CDKeys and pick up some cheap Xbox Live credit first.
