What new Xbox One games are ‘In Stores This Week’? – 4th-10th June 2018


E3 is almost upon us to create excitement for future games, but for the time being, we’ll have to make do with the selection of new releases arriving in the next seven days. It’s quite a varied offering, featuring the likes of vampires, bike racing and a legendary basketball player beating people up, so without further ado, let’s see what’s ‘In Stores This Week’ for Xbox One.

Vampyr – 5th June – Xbox One

After returning from the Great War to London in 1918, a place that’s been devastated by war and disease, Dr. Jonathan Reid awakens to the formerly hidden world of ungodly creatures, secret societies and vampire hunting. As a newly-turned vampire though, he struggles to adapt to this new way of life, and so you must help him balance the risk versus the reward, ensuring his blood sucking antics doesn’t lead to the destabilisation of London’s infrastructure. As an action-RPG, you’ll be able to unlock various powerful vampire abilities to further the chances of surviving the stricken land. The big question is… will Dr. Reid retain his humanity, or will the bloodlust take over?

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn – 5th June – Xbox One

Once the star of an utterly terrible game, the unstoppable basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal takes on the lead role in the action-packed beat ‘em up successor to it, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn. Mastering combos and wielding an array of weapons such as katanas, shuriken and baseball bats, will see him fight past the hordes of enemies, ranging from the depths of hell to Hollywood – prepare to battle outlandish celebrity bosses. You’ll also be able to crank things up a notch by channelling Shaq’s alter-egos, Big Daddy O and Big Diesel, on this epic mission to restore his legacy in the video game world.

MotoGP 18 – 7th June – Xbox One

MotoGP 18 looks set to be a reboot of the longstanding series, with developers Milestone rebuilding it from scratch, featuring a new engine, enhanced graphics, reworked physics, faithful reproduction of all elements in game using scanning tech and a new career mode. In the compelling career mode, players will climb the ladder from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, all the way to being a part of the Moto GP class. Add to that the official MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup rosters from the 2018 season and the presence of all 19 official tracks, and chances are it could be the most immersive and realistic iteration to date.
