A Time Travellers Guide To Past Delicacies is MAD!

If you like your games to verge on the edge of utter weirdness, you’re going to love the release of A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies.

A short little game that focuses on a fictional time traveller who heads back to the past to steal the finest recipes, A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies is most certainly a strange affair. But if it sounds like your bag, you’ll find it available for purchase and download right now. It’s pretty much available wherever you game too – Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

A weird little game

Priced at £4.19, A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies just gets more and more mad. Let us kick things off by telling you how this adventure is powered by a talking sock puppet, one who you follow back in time. Why? Well, that’s because you’re looking to enhance your cookery skills, and you can only do that by learning the recipes of those who have gone before you.

Oh yeah, and because you’re travelling back in time, dinosaurs… Nuts, eh?

Thankfully A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies is sold on being a highly experimental story-drive adventure. A game which will mostly see you watching videos and trying to cook the most simple of meals, there will be nothing too taxing ever popping up here.

But it’s a game we fell in love with. For the madcap moments, it’s well worth a play. If you want to know more – spoiler free – then ensure you check out our full review of A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies on Xbox

There’s even a PC (Windows) edition if that is what you prefer. And yes, you’ll find A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch too.

A Time Traveller’s Guide To Past Delicacies Description

A short game about a fictional time traveler raiding the past to steal recipes.

Follow a sock puppet into the dark bowels of time and learn new recipes. Meet your long-dead ancestors. Exploit them to further your cooking skills. Take some pictures of dinosaurs. Appropriate what you can.

This is an experimental story-driven adventure. Don’t expect state-of-the-art cooking gameplay. Mostly, you will watch videos, cook some simple meals, trying to cope with things falling out of hand, and explore some strange places.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
