The last week has flown by and so it’s time to look back at the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news and reviews from the last seven days…Didn’t miss anything did you?

November has kicked off in style with the latest Xbox Games With Gold titles being given away for free. You’ll obviously need an Xbox Live Gold membership in order to grab the latest free titles and so if you don’t have one, now would be a great time to get a code. Xbox One owners now have access to a brand new title, Volgarr the Viking. Promising to bring the ‘tough times’ back to gaming, Volgarr should be something the older generation of gaming will flock to especially those who hark back to the golden age of arcades!

Xbox 360 gamers haven’t been left out either and they will have full free access to both Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise from the 1st-15th November and then the destruct-em-up, Red Faction: Guerilla from the 16th until the end of the month. We loved both games when they first released and both are great additions to the Games With Gold lineup. November is a damn good month all round!

If you’re looking to spend a little cash this month then you’ll be happy to know that there are a couple of new games available for both consoles; both of which bring something a little different to the scene. Costume Quest 2 is available right now for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and follows on from the hugely successful first game with a load more mischievous fun and is the best way you can spend Halloween! Alongside that, the Xbox One has received a version of How To Survive. The Storm Warning Edition which brings everything we loved from the original 360 hit plus six pieces of downloadable content have been included. Hit the links to check out and download both games.

There are also an absolute ton of new games on the horizon for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 (you can read Novembers full list of releases on this link) and the vast majority of which have trailers you really won’t want to miss….

The eagle eyed ones among you may have spied the addition of a Call of Duty live action trailer at the bottom of that list and the latest COD game is very much on the way. It may even be with us by the time you’ve read this article and will quite possibly be blowing you away as you continue to read. Whichever is the case, you won’t want to miss out on the Advanced Warfare celebrity filled live stream or indeed the content packed COD: AW Season Pass.

There are however other games to play besides Sledgehammer Games finest and if you’re still grinding away on Destiny, then the addition of its first expansion, The Dark Below, may well interest you. It’s fairly pricey but brings a decent amount of content to the game (even if some of that is a timed exclusive to Playstation), that should see you leveling up like noones business! Alien Isolation has also received a content pack which turns out to be a great deal cheaper than that of Destiny, but should bring you just as much fun…if your idea of fun is sitting in a dark corner shaking uncontrollably whilst a big-ass Alien wanders by!

We must also point you in the direction of our latest review. Harmonix have delivered a must-buy title in the form of Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved for Xbox One and you can click that there link in order to read our thoughts. Briefly summed up, it equate to the likes of ‘stunning’, ‘superb’ and ‘awesome’ and is a game that makes the very best of Kinect for Xbox One. It’s so good in fact that if you don’t currently own an Xbox One Kinect, then you really should think about investing in one. Trust us on that one 😉

Oh, and finally make sure you read and watch the latest details of Far Cry 4’s multiplayer mode…it looks rather awesome.

Catch ya soon!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
