Active Neurons 3 brings the Wonders of the World to Xbox One, Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Switch

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. That’s pretty much the motto of not just Active Neurons as a game, but of the development team behind it as they push out the third game in the series, in pretty short fashion after the first two titles. The question is, does Active Neurons 3 – Wonders of the World provide enough to warrant another puzzling purchase?

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Active Neurons 3 – Wonders of the World takes the tried formula of the series, before dropping in the chance for you to travel the globe, taking in some of the finest structures that make this world our own. 

Running a simple little price point – I mean, you can’t complain about a measly £4.19 price tag, even less so when that is discounted immediately from launch – Active Neurons 3 – Wonders of the World will see you tasked with actioning three distinct steps: collecting energy, charging your brain and exploring the titular Wonders of the World. 

A testing but relaxing puzzler, Active Neurons 3 will leave you attempting to move a simple square from one part of a puzzle, to another, activating your mind in the process. It works much like the original Active Neurons and Active Neurons 2 did, and whilst familiarity is a nice option to have, perhaps a little more in the way of variety wouldn’t harm things.

Of course, again, that cheap price point may just allow you to purchase Active Neurons 3 across all formats, ensuring your get your brain fixed wherever and whenever you fancy.

In the game, you have to follow 3 simple steps: 1) Collect energy 2) Charge your brain 3) Explore Wonders of the World But are these steps that easy? Try it yourself and you will find out everything! Look for the right way to energy. Avoid dangerous obstacles. Teleport from one space to another to get closer to your goal. Solve tasks on memory, logic and orientation in space to get to the blocked areas. Destroy, move and combine objects on the levels to get to energy sources.
