It’s already picked up a fair few awards, but now the puzzling platformer that is World-Splitter has been confirmed for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, with the multidimensional madness set to arrive in the spring.

Coming from the publishing team at Bumble3ee Interactive and the creative brains of NeoBird Games, World-Splitter has picked up prizes in the form of the Game Connection Europe 2020 Indie Development Awards’ Best Console Game and Grand Award, preparing itself for launch to the masses.

World-Splitter has been created with the most enthusiastic of puzzle minds in, well, mind, tasking players to quickly complete stages by intelligently positioning and rotating dimension rifts that separate two vibrant, beautifully animated worlds. If it’s puzzles you want, World-Splitter is going to give it.

With 60 levels in place, each of which will bring a host of puzzling opportunities across two parallel dimensions, it’ll be up to you to manipulate the dimension rifts, save some little critter friends and reach the exit. Expect to be confronted by levers, platforms, portals, gravity fields and enemies in the process, whilst 10 hours of gameplay should suit both single and cooperative players.

“World-Splitter will feature a ton of content at launch, including a single-player campaign lasting roughly 10 hours, 10 local two player co-op missions, settings for restricted win conditions, a medal system, and more,” explains Martin Schiele, CEO at NeoBird Games. “It’ll be the perfect game for puzzle enthusiasts pining for interesting mechanics and imaginative settings. The title’s time-based challenges could make it a hit among speedrunners, too.”

World-Splitter releases on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam later this year with a spring launch in mind. Until that time, hit up the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
