It’s time to travel to Hibernia with Asterix and Obelix as another Gaul-based adventure awaits.

Available to purchase, download and play right now, whether that be on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch or PC is Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia.

The latest to feature the Asterix and Obelix duo, XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia gives fans of the franchise the chance to once more get involved in a brawl or two, beating back the Roman invasion again. Sound familiar? Well, it’s something that Asterix & Obelix excel at and having previously Slapped Them All!, gone on the hunt for The Crystal Menhir and been remastered in XXL: Romastered, it’s the land of Hibernia which comes to the fore.

Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia will set you back £41.74 from the Xbox Store, with a similar price kicking around on the stores of PlayStation, Switch and PC too. That may seem fairly hefty, but if you’re one of the many who have found good times with Asterix & Obelix previously, it will no doubt feel absolutely fine – even more so when you consider this brings us six worlds and the chance to replay like never before.

But what exactly is Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia? Well, it’s an action-adventure title, but mostly you’ll be found utilising your fists as you take charge of your favourite Gauls and take it to the Romans. Stylish combos await, as do a ton of finishing moves as the explosive adventure plays out.

What’s more, you don’t need to be a loner to take on Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia for full cooperative play for up to four players on the same screen is present.

The digital download you need is available at your favourite store – the Xbox Store being ours – but this is also available physically; a Limited Edition adds in a couple of sticker sheets and three lithographs whilst the Collector’s Edition of Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia includes a Collector’s Box, the game itself, those stickers and lithographs plus a rather tasty looking Obelix figure running at some 18cm tall.

Let us know which version of Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram from Hibernia you pick up – and hold tight for our full review in the days ahead.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
