10tons can do no wrong in our eyes and so the announcement that they will be bringing Azkend 2 to our consoles excites us very much.

After previously excelling with their Sparkle titles, Azkend 2 is a classy match-3 adventure game. While traveling from Liverpool to New York your ship was pulled down into a massive maelstrom and you woke up in a place that may have never been gazed upon by the eyes of men. Your goal is to ascend from the bowels of the earth and return to civilization.

Sounds easy eh!?

Well, with dozens of exciting levels and variable gameplay in place, 10tons hope that Azkend 2 will deliver. Told through gorgeous animated cut scenes and professional voice overs, you’ll experience awe and wonder through all the eight fantastic scenes that change constantly as you move through them.

There are numerous powerups and different play styles to get acquainted with and the former will need to be chosen wisely should you wish to complete your journey. In addition, the Time and Medals challenge modes will give you a reason to go back time and time again.

Features include:

  • Eight unique hand drawn & animated scenes
  • Three game modes including the adventure and two challenges
  • Over 60 levels in the story mode
  • Compete on the GC leaderboards in the Time-challenge
  • Challenge yourself and replay the levels in the Medals-challenge
  • Gain more than a dozen GC achievements
  • Professional voice overs in story scenes
  • Carefully polished puzzle gameplay
  • Universal version available, HD works on all iOS devices
  • Cinematic soundtrack by Jonathan Geer

Azkend 2 will arrive on Xbox One as a digital only download come May 6th with a PS4 and PS Vita release on the cards from the 3rd May 2016. It’ll be priced at ÂŁ6.39/7.99 USD/EUR too – that in itself makes it an interesting proposition.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
