Well, here’s a medieval unicycle adventure now available, courtesy of Ratalaika Games – of course it’s those who recently brought us Freddy Spaghetti. Prepare for a chuckle as Balancelot tentatively jousts its way onto Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A collaboration between Ratalaika Games, AnvilBird Interactive and Jestercraft, Balancelot is a satirical medieval adventure. It’s a fantasy tale of a poor squire who cannot even afford a horse in order to fulfil his jousting dreams. What he does however, is a unicycle, and so that will simply have to do as his epic journey begins. Through a real balancing act, this lowly chap must reach the kingdom’s jousting tournament and win it using a darn unicycle.
There are over 20 tricky levels to overcome as you attempt to show off your extreme unicycle riding skills. Navigating the medieval-themed environments is just one aspect looking to knock you off balance, with mythical monsters ready to trifle your efforts as well. Don’t worry if the toughness is a little maddening because you’re sure to find humour from not only the rather twisted and witty story, but also the comedic physics of the actual gameplay too.
