Behind the scenes vid released as Past Cure gets Xbox One, PS4 and PC launch date

-

If you’re looking to have your mind torn to pieces, then upcoming psychological action thriller, Past Cure, may just be worth checking out. Luckily we are today seeing a brand new behind-the-scenes vid released alongside its launch date confirmation.

Past Cure will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Feb 23rd 2018. Created by Berlin based indie developer, Phantom 8, Past Cure puts you into the shoes of Ian, a former elite soldier, whose story begins at his brother’s safehouse where he’s hidden himself away from the world and his nightmares. After years of experimentation, coupled with years of torture in prison, Ian is now telekinetic and can also manipulate time. These powers take their toll on Ian, whose mind is fractured; often drifting between reality and hallucinogenic states. With the help of his Brother, Ian sets out on a path of revenge and discovery, not knowing what lies around the next corner.

It is a game that will bring you intense action, plenty of stealth opportunities and the chance to partake in a bit of survival horror, as you search for the missing pieces of your mind in the story driven adventure.

Simon Gerdesmann, Managing Director, Phantom 8, said, “Developed by a team of only eight, we aim to showcase that desire, talent and ambition can help you deliver a title that stands apart from what’s traditionally expected from an Indie studio. PAST CURE is our first title, and having secured multiple awards throughout its development, the team is excited to finally have the game out in the wild.”

Whilst bonus content for digital and physical pre-orders will be announced soon, for now, a physical copy can be pre-ordered for Xbox One and PS4 from a wide range of retailers. Personally, Amazon is as good as any.

We will be sure to remind you when Past Cure releases. Expect to pay $29.99/£29.99/€29.99 for a copy.

About Past Cure:

After years of being tortured in dark prisons across Europe, former elite soldier Ian lives in his brother’s safehouse, struggling with the consequences of the military experiments he was put through. They twisted his mind; imbued him with preternatural mental abilities such as time manipulation and telekinesis, and fractured his grip on reality. Driven by hallucinations and his thirst for revenge, Ian enlists his brother’s help and sets out on a thrilling hunt; both for the perpetrators of the conspiracy against him and for the truth underlying his torment. During the course of his mission Ian experiments with his new powers, quickly coming to realize their inherent danger — with each use, his sanity frays a little more, drawing the nightmarish attention of something beyond reality. In pursuit of the men behind his imprisonment, Ian soon realizes that his true enemy may be hiding within his own madness.
