The Call of Duty Black Ops III multiplayer beta is inbound and so, here are all the details you’ll likely want to know, including the launch dates.
First of all, if you haven’t already done so then you’ll need to pre-order Black Ops III at participating retailers to receive a beta code. Once that’s redeemed, it’s all about waiting for the beta to hit your platform of choice. PlayStation 4 owners will gain access to the battle field on 19th August, whilst Xbox One and PC players are set to wait an additional week till 26th August.
What does the multiplayer beta bring to the table? Well we know that there’ll be at least three maps to explore and they are Hunted (a hunting lodge in the mountains of Ethiopia), Combine (a research facility in the Egyptian Sahara) and finally Evac (an abandoned evacuation zone in Singapore). There are quite a few game modes to try them out on too – Team Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag and Search & Destroy.
The beta is the ideal place to get to know the Specialists, which each have their own look, personality, weapons and abilities they can bring to the action. In total – including the rank based unlocks and Specialists added throughout the beta by Treyarch – there are eight different Specialists. For a more in-depth look at them, head on over to the Treyarch community blog!
Call of Duty Black Ops III releases on 6th November 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
