After a week largely dominated by EA titles on the Xbox Live Deals With Gold front, which weren’t exactly great offers, the latest sale is a welcome change. There’s no doubt it needs to deliver better deals this week, doesn’t it? Well, fortunately for you we’ve taken a look through the best and worst deals in place for 11th-17th August 2015.

And it’s safe to say there are a lot of decent looking bargains with only a couple to actually stay clear of, so let’s get stuck in to the must have deals and those best to avoid…

GrabMax: The Curse of Brotherhood – 80% off – £2.40 (Xbox One) or £2.39 (Xbox 360)

We had the pleasure of playing Max way back when it first released in 2013 and again on Xbox 360 in 2014. It received a generous amount of praise from us for being a solid puzzler that made the player try all manner of ways of using the magical marker. You could argue that Max: The Curse of Brotherhood was free on Games with Gold last year but for anyone who missed out then, less than £2.50 is still an absolute steal.

LeaveMortal Kombat X – 25% off – £37.49 – Xbox One

There’s no doubt that we believed Mortal Kombat X was one of the best in the series, give or take a few minor online issues, but if you didn’t pick it up on release then this price won’t entice you anyway. What they are charging for it now is basically the retail price when it first came out and in fact you can pick this up on disc for below the £30 mark. So, if you are slightly tempted by this gory fighting game then just head on down to the shops and buy it.

GrabNever Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) – 50% off – £6.00 – Xbox One

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Never Alone in a sale but we believe this is the cheapest it’s been so far. And if you’re after a deep insight into the Inupiat community aimed at passing on old Alaskan stories then this is the platform game for you. Chances are you aren’t looking specifically for that but they are wonderful tales intertwined with a decent bit of platform action. Plus with the savings you’ve made you can also pick up the Foxtales DLC which got full marks from us.
