We didn’t realise there was a ‘pro’ scene kicking around for Cornhole. In fact, we didn’t really know it was a thing outside of school sports days. But it seems we are in the minority and there’s a fairly decently sized segment of the world’s population that find nothing better than a quick chuck in a game of Cornhole. For those people, there’s now a virtual option too – ACL Pro Cornhole.
Available today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, ACL Pro Cornhole comes about via the FarSight Studios team (they also behind the likes of PBA Pro Bowling 2023), as they look to create the most immersive Cornhole simulation ever. We’re not sure there’s much competition really – I mean, is there another Cornhole representation kicking around? – but what has been delivered here still looks fairly appealing.Â
Priced at £24.99, if you’re looking for a cheap alternative to chucking in the backyard, we’re not sure that ACL Pro Cornhole is allowing for it, and that price is sure to put some off of taking a punt. Yet we’d think that those fully immersed in the scene will already have the wallet opening…
Drop in and you’ll find the Cornholing game of your dreams – we think. It lets you join the ACL World Championship as you go hacky-sacking it against no less than thirty-two of the finest pros from around the world, each motion captured and placed in a fully detailed 3D modelled environment.
From there, it’s time to get bagging, with official gear in house and comms helping pull you through the tension of a match. In fact, ACL Pro Cornhole and FarSight Studios have got Trey Ryder and Bernie Nabors on mic. They are the team you want to help chat you through things, yeah?
