Fan of the Dune universe? Up for some more 4X real-time strategy? Dune: Spice Wars hits Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass.
Previously available only on PC, Dune: Spice Wars is the latest from the Shiro Games and Funcom teams. It comes to Xbox in Series X|S form, making the most of the power of current-gen consoles to provide a strategic take like no other.
The Dune universe awaits
If you’re unaware, Dune: Spice Wars whisks us off to the Dune universe, taking on one of six different factions. Whether you play as the Atreides, Harkonnen, Fremen or more, you’ll be found working your way through the lands of Arrakis with your finest tactics in tow.
Dune: Spice Wars will cost you £33.49 from the Xbox Store but is also present in Game Pass. From there you’ll get the chance to enjoy everything that has been present on PC, initially through the Early Access phase. That means all the major updates will be in place, along with a slew of new features, quality of life improvements and more. Much of that comes about via the community too.
Dune: Spice Wars combines the moment-to-moment excitement of real-time strategy with the long-term planning of 4X games, bringing together the best of two worlds. On Arrakis, the theater of war extends beyond the battlefield. Players can also dominate the flow of spice by mastering Landsraad politics, the economy, and spycraft.
A conquest mode will keep the solo player busy, but there’s also multiplayer in Dune: Spice Wars too.
