Unbound Creations will happily let you ruin the day of others with the brilliant Rain on Your Parade on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, PC and Nintendo Switch. And honestly, you won’t want to miss this one.

Rain on Your Parade casts you as Cloudy the cloud, a hero cloud who is just looking to help others. Cloudy does however have a bit of a mean streak, loving nothing more than causing havoc to the lives of innocent folk, raining and snowing, whipping on a storm and throwing down lightning bolts whenever he sees fit. And if Cloudy is given a mission, he’ll go all-out to complete it – no matter who he annoys in the process.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass, with launch on Nintendo Switch and PC accompanying it, Rain on Your Parade will set you back an asking price of £11.99 (unless you take the Game Pass route), but honestly, as our full review of the game states, it’s something that is well worth playing.

With all the powers you’d expect of a cloud – rain, snow, tornado, lightning – it’ll be up to you to help Cloudy complete various objectives and missions across a range of set scenarios. You may be looking to ruin someone’s wedding day, you might head to the office to cause an evacuation, or you may even spend some time in the land of the dinosaurs. With pop culture and video game references aplenty – Frogger, Metal Gear, Breakout and more at hinted at – this is a humorous little title that will drag you in. And with New Game+ and ‘Sun Mode’ options then opening up, even more challenges come to the fore.

Features include:

  • Ruin peoples day with rain, thunder, lightning, tornados and many more abilities.
  • Travel the world in over 50 levels causing disorder and havoc to weddings, cities, farms, military bases, parking lots and much more.
  • Give the mischievous cloud your personal touches. Draw a unique face and choose the hat it wears.
  • An upbeat and silly soundtrack that encapsulates the nature of the game.

We love Rain on Your Parade and highly advise you give it a go. You’ll find the usual download available from the Xbox Store, with it playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Game Pass route should also be considered. You’ll find the game on Nintendo Switch and PC too. Fittingly, it’s also Cloud Enabled too, letting you play it on your mobile device through the likes of the Razer Kishi or GAMESIR X2.

Let us know how you find Cloudy’s adventures by posting in the comments.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
