2026's Best Games

What do you get when you mix Burnout, NBA Jam, Black and a whole ton of crazy, silly, madcap ideas? Dangerous Golf of course!

Announced today, Dangerous Golf comes about from the crazy minds of Three Fields Entertainment. Formed in Feb 2014, the team, including the founders of Criterion Games (we’re pretty sure we don’t need to tell you about those guys!) set out to create great games…and have loads of fun whilst they do so.

But beneath the madness is a serious side and that comes about with the announcement of their first game. Dangerous Golf gives you the chance to smash chandeliers, destroy your employers best china and set fire to a gas station. It’s golf, but not like you know it.

Arriving in May 2016 on Xbox, Playstation and Steam, Dangerous Golf is, as Three Fields put it ‘as serious a golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation to driving games.’. Allowing you to break the rules and wreak havoc, you’ll find more than 100 holes and four unique locations to take on – each with their own unique ideas.

It won’t be about birdies, eagles or even pars. Instead it’ll be all about causing damage, as those who pull off the very best trick shots and destroy the best stuff with their golf ball bombs will be highly rewarded. With a hotel kitchen, a palace ballroom, a rural gas station and a medieval castle all ready for both on and offline multiplayer, Dangerous Golf should appeal to golf fans, Burnout fans, destruction fans and above all else, fans of all things silly!

Dangerous Golf promises to be just the beginning of a series of games that will focus on speed, danger, excitement and destruction…we can’t bloody wait!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
