It’s been the best part of two years since we heard that Daymare 1994: Sandcastle would be coming to PC and console, but much like everything in the last few years, delays have happened. Now though, finally, we get a fully confirmed release date – and there’s a free demo to help build the excitement even more.
The original plan for Daymare 1994: Sandcastle from the Italian team at Invader Studios was to launch in 2022, but that has slipped to a 2023 release, with August 30th 2023 now nailed down as the big day. It’ll release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, delivering a highly anticipated survival horror experience to the masses.
Daymare 1994: Sandcastle runs as the prequel to Daymare: 1998, as players take in an all-new adventure, cast in the role of special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ – and your – mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America. But who knows what dangers. await…
Before that big release though comes a free Steam demo, dropping on May 11th 2023. The demo will allow players to provide feedback and suggestions to the developers, which will be considered for the final version of the game together with the final fine-tuning, whilst allow insight into the thrilling gameplay and story that awaits players in the full version of the game.
“We’re excited to be so close to completing the years-long work,” said Leonardo Caltagirone, Founder of Leonardo Interactive. “The worthy heir to the first chapter is coming out, and we can’t wait to show you the clear improvements.”
The Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle demo will be available for download on Steam beginning May 11th 2023.
We’ll keep you in the loop as to the August 30th 2023 release of Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
