You may think that June and July are relative quiet times in the gaming years. And you’d be right – if you went back a decade or so. Yep, nowadays the scene continues on regardless and whilst we may not have a slew of AAA titles popping up through June, there will still be a fair amount of new releases. But there will also be freebies – and it’s there where the Xbox Games With Gold scheme comes in.
As June 2022 kicks off, Xbox players will find themselves with the opportunity to download and play four new games, all with zero price tag attached.
With an Xbox Live Gold subscription to hand – and everyone has one of those, yeah!? – Xbox players who have access to an Xbox 360, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S will discover that the following games will be stripped of their price tags for a few weeks…
- Aven Colony – 1st-30th June 2022
- Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition – 16th June – 15th July 2022
- Super Meat Boy – 1st-15th June 2022
- Raskulls – 16th-30th June 2022
You’ll find that the rather good Aven Colony and Super Meat Boy will be free anytime now, whilst the second batch containing Project Highrise and Raskulls will become available to freely download from the middle of the month. We will of course remind you when that time comes.Â
With new freebies though, we must say goodbye to a few titles that were given away for free via Games With Gold for May. Yoku’s Island Express is the best of those games, but will be going back up in price very soon, whilst Viva Pinata Party Animals will soon be following it. Thankfully, The Inner World: The Last Monk is still free for a couple more weeks.
