Good news…Elite Dangerous is coming to Xbox One. Prepare to waste many many hours!

Frontier Developments have today announced that the massively multiplater space epic Elite Dangerous will be coming to Xbox One later in 2015. The critically acclaimed third sequel to 1984’s Elite, Dangerous will bring the galaxy, an evolving narrative and the entirety of the Milky Way re-created at its full galactic proportions to Xbox One.

You’ll start off with just a small starship and a few credits, from where it’ll be up to you to earn the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to survive in a futuristic cutthroat galaxy and to stand among the ranks of the iconic Elite. Governments fall, battles are lost and won, and humanity’s frontier is reshaped, all by players’ actions.

The Xbox One version of Elite Dangerous will include all the content currently available in the PC version and will also include the ‘Wings’ update from later this month.

We’ll let you know as soon as a confirmed release date is out in the open but basically, just prepare to lose hours at a time to Elite Dangerous!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
