Remember the good old days of Turok? You know, the turn of the millennium and all that? Well, it’s time to relive them as Nightdive Studios faithfully restore Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion.
Available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC is Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion. This should be seen as the final chapter in the recently remastered Turok Trilogy following on from previous drops of the original Turok and Turok 2.
A faithful remastering
A game that first released on Nintendo 64 back in 2000, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion has now been upgraded and updated. It does so by making the most of Nightdive Studio‘s KEX Engine, bringing 4K visuals at 120FPS. You’ll also find upgraded gameplay, high-res textures, enhanced lighting and rendering. Oh, and there’s platform specific support for console controllers too. Wahey!
In Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion you get the chance to choose between dual protagonists Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, the siblings of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil protagonist Joshua Fireseed. Together, they must defeat the titular antagonist Oblivion and its followers, the Flesh Eaters, after the supposed demise of their brother at its hands.
