It’s been about a year since we found the Strategic Mind series blast onto Xbox, but if we’re honest, it’s not a set of games that has really excited. Can the latest to launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S save the series? It’s time to find out in Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance on Xbox.
Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance from Starni Games and Klabater is the latest in the series to try its luck on Xbox. Having kicked things off with Strategic Mind: The Pacific (1.5/5 in review) back in August 2022, it’s a series that immediately struggled. It got no better with Strategic Mind: Fight for Freedom either, with us rating that 1/5 in review.
But signs of improvement came about with the release earlier in 2023 of Strategic Mind: Spectre of Communism. We dropped a 2.5/5 score on that one, commenting how ‘Strategic Mind: Spectre of Communism is better than previous games in the franchise’.
Hopes are raised as we Fight for Dominance
So hopes are high with the launch of the next game, Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance on Xbox. Just be aware you’re going to need to shell out some £41.74 in order to grab a download from the Xbox Store.
Dip in though and Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance focuses on the German Armed Forces, as they look to do the unthinkable and find victory in Europe. Alternatively, the USSR Armed Forces are ready for a full-on Communist Revolution. The question is, which side will you fall on?
Delivered with period-correct elements mixed with alternate history moments, Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance pushes forth the WW2 angle at every moment. Cinematics will immerse, whilst gameplay then takes to the fore, with numerous objectives for you to concern yourself with.

Whether you take to the battle via land, sea or air, Strategic Mind: Fight for Dominance promises highly detailed units, powered by Unreal Engine 4, the chance to upgrade your troops and the opportunity to embark on a host of operations.

- Capture trophies and employ some of the enemy`s most advanced units against him in future battles.

The game has many historical operations and events but also features a number of alternate history moments. It is created with great care and attention to historical details by a team which is passionate about WW2 history. Watching cinematics before and after every operation you can almost feel that you are indeed a participant of the unfolding epochal events. Moreover, numerous primary and secondary objectives allow you to explore every battle in detail. The gameplay is plot-driven and features many historical personalities.
