Arriving today on consoles after receiving critical acclaim on PC is the epilogue DLC for CrossCode – A New Home.Â
Players have been waiting patiently for this to arrive and A New Home promises gamers what they have been waiting a long time for: That they will be finally able to complete the final chapter of the Raid.
Continuing straight after the events of the main game, players once again control Lea in A New Home. You will reacquaint yourself with old friends, learn new words and explore new areas using the elements in some new and unexpected ways. You may even be able to walk on water…
The core gameplay loops of CrossCode are still present, but A New Home brings with it the largest dungeon in the history of CrossCode with a host of challenging new enemies and bosses. The Zelda-esque dungeons were always reaching for the stars in our initial review but hopefully this DLC can give the wide scope and ambition of CrossCode an ending it deserves. Expect to be trawling through this DLC for about eight hours, a small drop in the ocean relative to the main game.
Of course, with new locations brings with its new music. Already a fantastic soundtrack in its own right, the DLC has some big shoes to fill.
Key features include:
- Fresh content which will entertain you for about 8-10 hours
- Explore the probably biggest dungeon we’ve ever created
- Run over water for the very first time
- Fight against new enemies and bosses
- Listen to some fresh music tracks
- And of course: Finish The Raid
CrossCode: A New Home can be downloaded on Xbox this very second priced at £8.39. But wait, there’s more! If you fancy giving Lea a new look for the DLC, how about a new skin? There are two to choose from: The Ninja Skin priced at £0.79 and the Manlea skin for £1.69. The Ninja skin was previously exclusive to Indiegogo backers and the Manlea skin allows you to play through CrossCode as a male.
Excited to jump back into CrossCode? We certainly are and will have a review of the DLC coming very soon.
