Intrigued by the tactical combat features that promise to took place in This Is The Police 2? You’ll find that the latest trailer for game can sort that intrigue out.

Revealed today is a brand new trailer for This Is The Police 2. The story driven police strategy title will be released on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC later this year, taking everything that was loved about the first game and stepping things up a notch or two.

With the protagonist of the original game out of the way, This Is The Police 2 places us in Sharpwood, a cold frontier town where a young woman named Lilly Reed has recently become sheriff. You’ll need to take a new approach to policing though: you’ll have to take your cops under direct control during particularly difficult and dangerous missions.

It is in these such situations where the game will switch to a new turn-based combat mode system. With you having gathered a team of your finest police officers, you’ll get the chance to take up advantageous positions in order to carefully study the terrain, constantly adapt your plans, stealthily approach your suspects and use non-lethal weapons and equipment in order to arrest any suspects. Unless, of course, you bartered them for a dozen cans of tuna. See, sometimes gunfights are almost impossible to avoid, but you’ll need to be careful as a single bullet can cost a cop their life.

Just like first time around, This Is the Police 2 mixes adventure and management genres, and this time it enjoys further mechanics that will strengthen both the strategic and tactical parts of the game. It won’t be enough just managing the equipment of your policemen and keeping in mind their individual skills. Every challenge requires the player’s direct participation on a tactical combat scene, and the outcomes will depend on every decision you make.

If you’re up for that challenge then make sure you keep an eye out for This Is The Police 2 arriving later this year. You could do worse than hit up our full review of the original game, and spend a little moment with the latest trailer below.
