End of November means Game Pass switch up time, yeah? That’s right – you best get saying goodbye to 7 games as they are removed from the service, across Xbox and PC.
Game Pass is a wonderful scheme, available to all on Xbox and PC who fancy subscribing to the games on offer. With a monthly price tag providing access to upwards of a hundred titles, we think it’s a bit of a no-brainer to be a Game Pass subscriber.
7 games leave Game Pass
But it does mean that every now and then, we need to take a hit or two. And as the end of November comes into view, that hit comes in the form of 7 games that are leaving the service. of course, if you still want to play them, you can. It’s just you’ll need to fork out cold hard cash for the privilege.
For us, we see the big Game Pass switch ups as a time to reflect on what is to come. Surely as 7 games are moved out, that must mean that there are some big hitters on the way? Well, yes, it does. But what they are for now is anyones guess. And besides, Christmas and the Holiday Season isn’t it…
So what is leaving Game Pass today? Well, as mentioned (multiple times), there are 7 games leaving. Those are split around both Xbox, PC and EA Play, with all of the following moving on out.
- _Anvil (_Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Battlefield 1943 (Console) EA Play
- Battlefield: Bad Company (Console) EA Play
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Console and PC) EA Play
- Disc Room (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Eastward (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Grid (Console) EA Play
What will be most missed?
For us, it’s probably the removal of Grid and Eastward that are the two biggest disappointments. Granted, both have been available to play for some time, but still, losing access is a kicker.
If you want to know more about those games, then you’d do well to check out our reviews. Eastward was slapped with a 4/5 score in review as we spoke about it’s warmth and well-written characters…
Whilst the story does go a little dark at times, there is a warmth oozing through Eastward that will wrap you up tightly. A culmination of well-written characters, a father/daughter relationship and the incredible visuals mean Eastward will leave you thinking about it long after you complete it.
Grid was equally well loved and whilst it has been superseded by Grid Legends, it’s still a game we hold close to our hearts.
GRID, I can happily say, is a triumph. It can be forgiven for a career mode that on some fronts lacks variety, due to how well realised the gameplay is, as it’s deep, authentic and above all else, a huge amount of fun. You’ll struggle to find a racer that plays better than this.
What’s next for Game Pass?
December is traditionally fairly quiet in terms of new games, but we’re expecting the Game Pass gods to deliver anyways. What we already know is that SteamWorld Build is looking to be a cracking addition to the service, arriving on December 1st.
From there, confirmation from those in the know is required.
Today though? It’s all about those games that are being removed from Game Pass. Get into the comments and let us know which you’ll miss the most. It’s going to be Eastward, isn’t it?
