Tekken 8 is coming

Fighting fans rejoice! After exploring the blood and guts that the rebooted Mortal Kombat 1 has to offer in September of this year, it will be only a short wait before Tekken 8 is unleashed into the world. Bandai Namco’s next instalment of the OTT fighting series promises to wow fans with a stellar roster, brand-new single-player mode, and intricate character customisation for you to make each battler your own. Are you ready for the next battle with Tekken 8 on Xbox, PlayStation or PC?

A New Era

Tekken 8 will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC, and from the off some proper fan-service is delivered. Included in the whopping 32-character roster are returning characters Kuma, Leo, Steve, Shaheen, Dragunov and Yoshimitsu, each with an updated moveset. However, with the ability to customise every fighter with different outfits, even down to colouring individual parts of their get-up, new heroes will surely go down in Tekken legend.

Details regarding the core story of Tekken 8 are still thin on the ground. However, what we do know is that this is a new era of the King of Iron Fist tournament.

Arcade Quest

Perhaps inspired by the World Tour mode of Street Fighter 6, Bandai have dreamt up Arcade Quest. This is a single-player mode that sees your custom avatar visit arcades across the world, honing their skills.

More than just a glorified tutorial, this is your one-stop hub for any fighting training you wish to pursue, and will develop as the story unfolds.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
