Party Animals pre-orders are open!

Ever thought the squishy fighters of Gang Beasts were just a bit more on the fluffy and cute end? Or, have you wanted to throw a dog into an airplane propeller? Either way, Party Animals is for you, and we don’t have to wait long to get involved as pre-orders open and betas are detailed.

A Cuddly Mosh Pit

Developed by Recreate Games, Party Animals is a physics-based brawler that tasks you to beat the living daylights out of your mates. After selecting one of the many adorable animals to take to battle, your goal is to be the last creature standing in this all-out brawl. It’s coming very soon to Xbox and PC platforms, and is sure to bring out some laughs as you try to chuck your opponents off of each stage.

And the stages are very unique indeed, set across all manner of wacky arenas. Each have their own bespoke obstacles, and with the draw of three different modes, are sure to not get old quickly.

Key Features

  • Unique Physics Engine – Completely physics-driven character movements lead to seemingly haphazard, floppy, unpredictable, and hilarious encounters. Will your punch land in that sweet spot and send your foe flying off the stage, or will it knock your own character completely off balance?
  • Variety of Game Modes – With 20 different maps and 3 game modes to choose from, including free-for-all skirmishes and objective-based gameplay, players will journey through an eclectic mix of environments where anything can happen – such as all-out lollipop warfare between a cute dinosaur and a fluffy shark!
  • Cute Animals – Choose your character from a diverse cast of adorable animals, customize their appearance, and dive into the cuddle puddle mosh pit!
  • Collect Cosmetic Items – Over 200 cosmetic items, such as animals and outfits, can be unlocked by acquiring in-game currencies through gameplay or purchasing them. Cosmetics are purely aesthetic and do not provide any gameplay advantages… aside from being cuter than your opponents, of course!
  • Seamless Crossplay – With cross-platform play between PC and Xbox, no friend will be left behind in this whirlwind of absurdity. Say goodbye to the fear of missing out on the nonsensical shenanigans—everyone’s invited to the party!

Closed Betas

Eager to get in on the fun early? Ahead of the full launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on September 20th, 2023, Recreate have organised three closed betas. Each will contain a certain number of maps to try out, so you can get a feel of the different game modes on offer.

Beta applicants can sign up via Steam or the Xbox Insider Hub app, and will be randomly chosen.

Beta Schedule for Party Animals (Subject to Change)

  • September 1st – September 3rd – Test A (4 maps)
  • September 8th – September 10th – Test B (6 maps)
