It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything about the upcoming action-RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot from Bandai Namco. In fact, the official confirmation of its name at E3 was the last thing we reported, but today there’s word of three big name characters that’ll be playable. There are also some details on how other Z-Warriors will offer help in more of a supporting role.
In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the Z-Warriors will lend their power to help the cause in many ways, so you won’t just have to play as Goku. Some of them like Gohan, Vegeta or Piccolo have been confirmed as fully fledged playable characters, with their own techniques, fighting styles and strengths to put to good use. Other fighters however, like Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu, will be available as support characters that can use their signature moves to aid in the most crucial moments.
To keep-up with the ever-growing threats though, players will have to keep training their characters with the traditional Saiyan method: food and epic battles, of course. Where the food is concerned, gathering many ingredients and cooking dishes gives permanent bonus to their stats. Meanwhile, travelling far and wide, and coming across enemies ready for a fight will provide experience points, ensuring it’s a great way to level-up.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is scheduled to launch in early 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Who else would you like to see announced as playable characters? Leave us a comment with your thoughts!
