Marvel’s Avengers Hawkeye Future Imperfect

Ask anyone for their opinion on the Marvel’s Avengers game and chances are they either loved or hated it. If you’re in the former of the two camps, pay attention because SQUARE ENIX have announced the release date for the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 next-gen upgrades. Furthermore, a new hero is arriving the same day with a fresh villain and story to discover for free. Some call him Clint Barton, but most know him better as the master archer Hawkeye, who’s the lead in a new Operation, and we’ve got all the details.

First and foremost, mark the date of 18th March on your calendars, because that’s when those who own the Xbox One or PS4 version of Marvel’s Avengers can upgrade to the full next-gen version at no additional cost. Profiles and save games can be transferred to next-gen consoles in order to continue the action from right where you left off. Don’t worry that you’ll have to leave your friends behind as cross-gen play is supported within the Xbox and PlayStation families.

The Xbox Series X|S and PS5 offerings offer higher frame-rates and enhanced visuals at up to 4K resolution – limited to 1440p for Xbox Series S however. Prepare to witness dramatically faster loading and streaming times, while also taking advantage of the graphics power and memory of the consoles delivering higher-resolution textures. Additionally, this should see further draw distances for high-resolution models, improved heroics and armour destruction, as well as other enhancements to make you truly feel like a next-gen Super Hero.

In other news, Clint Barton is bringing his unique archery talents to the game’s roster on 18th March as part of Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect. While this features a new playable Super Hero and an extra chapter in the game’s ongoing Avengers Initiative story, Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect also introduces a powerful new villain: Maestro. Just picture a version of Hulk with Bruce Banner’s brains, as well as the Hulk’s strengths and abilities, that’s been driven mad during an apocalyptic future – that’s Maestro.

The narrative of Future Imperfect picks up in the wake of Clint Barton’s protégé Kate Bishop’s Operation, Taking AIM. You’ll be able to learn more about Hawkeye’s quest to find Nick Fury, leader of SHIELD, who he believed could help stop the rise of AIM. What he uncovered instead was a dangerous new weapon being built by Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini that could change the fate of humanity. Along the way, Clint finds himself wrapped up in a time-bending experiment, journeying to a future Earth destroyed by cosmic forces and inhabited by Maestro, an older, twisted version of Hulk who is as smart as he is strong.

While you can go it alone, you may need to assemble a squad of four for this upcoming, which will be available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Stadia. You’ve got until 18th March to decide, because that’s when Hawkeye rides on the coattails of the launch for next-gen version of Marvel’s Avengers.
