It’s been six months or so since InvertMouse dropped the original Clea to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, building on the scares of Halloween to deliver a stealth horror experience to gamers. Now though InvertMouse are back – with Clea 2.Â
Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, Clea 2 looks to take what was provided in the original Clea and step things up a notch or two, with four in-game years having passed since the tragedy of Whitlock Mansion.Â
It is here where we join Florine, a former maid who is looking to resurrect the one person who means absolutely everything to them. But in order to do so she’ll need to more into the third dimension and then keep on travelling to realms well beyond. And you know what happens when you get moving into mysterious realms? Horrors lie in wait!
Continuing the jump scare free experience that was promised in Clea 1, the sequel will once again provide a proper test of your gaming skills. You’ll need to work in real time to those foes that come calling with your every move and noise, mastering mechanics and praying that your skills are enough to find success.Â
Clea 2 is fully voiced too, with a decent old list of credits being given to the cast over on the offical Clea 2 site. Throw in plenty of unlockable goodes – costumes, galleries, difficulty modes – along with multiple endings and an arcade feature, and this should be an adventure worth exploring.Â
You’ll find Clea 2 available right now from the Xbox Store for £12.49, from the Steam page, or via the Nintendo eShop. Let us know what you think of it once you’ve been hands on. We’ll no doubt get a review out there at some point too.Â
