JYDGE has today been announced by 10tons, the indie developer with a more than decent back catalogue behind them.
Due for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC at some point in Q4 2017, JYDGE is a new top-down shooter that is set in the same universe as Neon Chrome. It’ll give you the chance to jump into the shoes of JYDGE, a cybernetically enhanced law enforcement unit eradicating rampant crime in the futuristic metropolis of Edenbyrg. The augments selected by you, as well as modifications to the Gavel rifle, and the selection of companion drones, will greatly alter how the game is played.
It’ll come with extensive customisation opportunities, a large amount of missions and secondary challenges and a variety of playstyles to cater for those who prefer heavy assault action, stealth or drone use.
“While Neon Chrome has been a great success for us, we quickly learned that procedurally generated levels and roguelike elements are not for everyone. We’ve built JYDGE specifically for people preferring a carefully hand-crafted yet highly customizable top-down shooter. We call this a roguehate game.” said Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons.
