There’s a pretty high chance that you’ve previously stumbled upon Super Soccer Blast. You see, not only did it release as a standalone title back in the middle of 2020, but it was part of the Super Sports Blast triple offering that arrived on console in the early parts of 2021 too. Now though the Unfinished Pixel team are dropping another edition to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S – Super Soccer Blast: America vs Europe.
The Ryder Cup of Super Soccer Blast, America vs Europe seems to take the standard arcade-styled gameplay that the original game worked with, and then adds in some international flair, pitting the European teams up against those from the other side of the pond.
Priced at £8.39, we’re not sure there’s much in this latest version of Super Soccer Blast to really warrant a further purchase, but if you haven’t previously found the time or energy to grab a copy of Super Soccer Blast, this is possibly the best way to go.
Playing out as a totally over-the-top fast-paced football affair, Super Soccer Blast is about as far removed from the likes of FIFA and PES as you could imagine. Much more closely aligned to the extremely disappointing Super Arcade Soccer 2021, America vs Europe has obviously been released to coincide with the launch of the UEFA EURO 2021 tournament – a tournament which you can play through via eFootball PES 2021 Season Upgrade.
But still, if you’re after arcade, that’s what you’ve got here. The chance to build your dream team is present, as is the opportunity to enjoy that fast-paced, highly accessible gameplay. With penalty shootouts present if you wish them to be, and 4-player offline multiplayer covering the bases for when the real worlds games are over and you and some mates are looking to continue the action, we’re quite impressed with what Unfinished Pixel are providing.
What’s more, the Super Soccer Blast: America vs Europe release adds in new teams, additional players, extra stadiums, new cartoonish visuals and further camera angles. Expect some of those toon-y graphics to deliver a few real-world likenesses too. The most key of key features include:
