Gamescom is fast approaching and it’ll be the first time much of Europe will be able to go hands-on with a number of new titles. Konami are bringing the big guns to the party and today have announced their show line-up!

Playable for the first time at Konami’s stall (hall 7.1/B030) at Gamescom 2015 will be both Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016.

MGSV: The Phantom Pain sees the million selling series take another step forward, setting a new level in the stealth-action genre. Comprising a hug open world, a shed load of new characters and a story driven by revenge, The Phantom Pain promises to be something pretty special.

PES 2016 meanwhile will take to the field, hoping that they can get one up on their nearest football rivals. Celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, the 2016 version of PES aims to establish the series as the definitive football experience, focusing on creating the best gameplay yet. A full on redesign of Master League should go some way to helping them achieve that goal

“METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and PES 2016 will be available for the public to play for the first time at this year’s gamescom; and that´s the kind of line-up that packs a punch,” said Martin Schneider, General Manager at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. “KONAMI is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most important consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcases KONAMI’s commitment to bringing AAA-titles to the consumer.”

Aside from the demos, you’ll be able to pick up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on Sept 1st 2015, whilst PES 2016 will be arriving on Sept 17th 2015.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
