You may have already taken in the detective delights of Murder Mystery Machine through Apple Arcade, but as Blazing Griffins wonder gets taken under the publishing wing of Microids and their Microids Indie arm, confirmation comes about that it’ll soon also launch on PC and console.

Coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC soon, Murder Mystery Machine sees you joining the District Crime Agency, with a mission that revolves around you helping two detectives – the young upstart Cassandra Clarke, and the veteran on the scene, Nate Houston. You’ve been brought in two help these two begin to understand the complexities of numerous cases, with the adventure unfolding as you find politician Frank Daniels dead. From there you’ll need to help Clarke and Houston uncover the truth, working through complex crimes and challenges in the process.

Utilising both your analytical and deduction skills, clues will need to be found, evidence will have to be connected, suspects will require interrogation and culprits will have to be brought to justice. It all promises much too, with a well written plot, engaging mechanics, plenty of environments to explore and a wonderful modern noir art style in place.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
