Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare prides itself on bringing an alternative world of online shooting to Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It’s been praised for it’s many customisation features but as of next week it’ll be delving deep into the murky world of microtransactions.
Currently Garden Warfare players earn any customisations via the stickers packs which are purchased by playing through the game, earning coin by taking on kills and completing objectives. It’s worked amazingly well and has gone a long way to making Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare the surprise hit it is.
But that could all possibly change with next weeks addition to the party of microtransactions. This will allow players to purchase coin with real-world cash, in turn then giving the richer gamers (or at least those with access to a credit card!), a sizeable advantage over those who prefer to play their game the way it was originally intended.
Whilst we don’t currently have any word on prices for these purchasable coins, you can be sure that there will be numerous options open, with differing discounts available depending on what you decide to buy, much like the system we saw previous in Ryse: Son of Rome or the suchlike.
We’ll let you know as soon as the update to include the microtransactions goes live on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
