Oh yes, the fans wanted it, and so now the Mighty Switch Force! Collection is here for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Coming from the folks behind the Shantae series, the Mighty Switch Force! Collection is comprised of Mighty Switch Force!, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, Mighty Switch Force! 2, and Mighty Switch Force! Academy. Better yet, it’ll only cost £16.74 to add all four instalments to your Xbox One library by venturing to the Xbox Store – or the respective digital store of your chosen platform.
The fun begins with Mighty Switch Force!, in which players will take control of cybernetic law enforcer Officer Patricia Wagon as they jump and blast their way across Planet Land in pursuit of the escaped Hooligan Sisters. Using Officer Wagon’s unique Siren Helmet, you can reconfigure level layouts by ‘switching’ blocks from the foreground to the background, and vice versa — each stage is essentially a puzzle that tests your wits as well as your reflexes. Meanwhile, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition takes things to a new level with gorgeous, high-definition visuals and super-challenging Hyper Mode stages.
The action then really heats up in Mighty Switch Force! 2 though, which sees Officer Wagon trade in her Pellet Shooter for the Infinity Dousing Apparatus (a.k.a. a fire hose) as she encounters new types of blocks and battles a mysteriously relentless inferno; all whilst overcoming a fresh batch of brain-bending, block-shifting stages. Last, but not least, is Mighty Switch Force! Academy and this one allows up to four players to team up locally. Alternatively, they can battle it out instead, putting new recruits through their puzzle-platforming paces in sprawling levels.
