Minimalist point-and-click horror Bad Dream: Coma launches on Xbox

2026's Best Games

bad dream coma

Mixing together a minimalist style with point-and-click elements before slapping on a ton of indie horror for good measure, means there should be lots to like about Bad Dream: Coma. And when you take into account pretty positive launches on PC through Steam and Nintendo Switch previously, the stakes are upped even more as launch occurs on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Bad Dream: Coma arrives on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S thanks to the Ultimate Games team (they who have previously announced the likes of Ultimate Summer and Farm Mechanic Simulator), following on from previous drops elsewhere.

Priced up at ÂŁ8.39 and available to purchase and download this very minute, Bad Dream: Coma is a point-and-click adventure at heart – but it’s immediately apparent that this is a different take on the whole journey. You see, this one comes with a super dark, highly disturbing atmosphere, a nightmarish setting and a non-linear story that will still have you making a ton of choices.

It originally came about via the Polish developmental studio of Desert Fox, before being picked up and published by Ultimate Games.

So what exactly do we have? Well, expect to take in a minimalist adventure in which the reality of the nightmare is deepened by a surreal atmosphere. It promises to work in sadness and unease, will have a host of secrets to uncover, and is powered along nicely by an original soundtrack that should heighten your senses even more.

Features include:

  • * highly atmospheric world created with simple yet beautiful graphic design, and carefully selected sounds
  • * non-linear gameplay with high replayability
  • * hidden content for curious players
  • * original soundtrack

If you wish to pick up Bad Dream: Coma on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, then the Xbox Store will play host to your download. You may like to check out the trailer below first – it’ll give a little more insight into what you are letting yourself in for.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
