Catalyst may have released earlier in the year to nothing more than lukewarm applause, but its predecessor is now available to download for free – and you should never turn your nose up at free.

Mirror’s Edge has been stripped of its price tag for the next couple of weeks, and whether you’re an Xbox One or Xbox 360 owner, you should be heading to the Xbox Games Store and picking it up pronto. The Xbox Games With Gold scheme has delivered some crackers to the masses for nothing in the past, but there are very few games that bring an experience like that found in Faith’s initial free-running foray.
Usually priced at £14.99, it may not be the most expensive game to be given away for free, but it’s certainly one of the best.
