It’s hard to believe that Final Fantasy XV is nearly a year old already but the post-release offerings continue on and now it’s time to get involved with the third piece of premium DLC, the Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades.
Comrades puts players in control of a member of the Kingsglaive, an elite group of soldiers imbued with the powers similar to Noctis himself and the previous Kings of Lucis. Different Kings will offer different sigil’s that will help determine your battle style, useful when teaming up in a party of four to take down the enemies.
Fear not though if you cannot muster together a party, as you are able to complete the missions in single player as well to progress the story.
This will not be the only content for the expansion either as future updates will offer the original group as playable characters.
If this wasn’t enough for you then legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu will be returning to the Final Fantasy series for Comrades and has composed the main theme of the DLC, along with singer Emiko Suzuki, Choosing Hope.
Comrades is available to download now as part of the Season Pass – which includes Episode Gladio, Episode Prompto and, coming in December, Episode Ignis – priced at £19.99. It is also available to download separately for £15.99. The Microsoft Store will help you out.Â
DLC description:
Create your own avatar and join up with three other friends to take on epic quests and battles in the FFXV’s first and only online multiplayer expansion.
Set in a world engulfed by darkness, the expansion casts players as a member of the Kingsglaive, with powers and unique abilities invoked from various Lucian kings, who join forces to bring the Light back to the kingdom of Lucis. Other members of Noctis’s crew including Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis will be made playable in future game updates.
FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER EXPANSION: COMRADES will be available to players who purchased FINAL FANTASY XV and the FINAL FANTASY XV Season Pass or FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER EXPANSION: COMRADES standalone expansion.
