If you’ve kept yourself clued up over recent months, then you will already know of Yoku, the star of Team17’s upcoming pinball platforming adventure, Yoku’s Island Express. But do you know anything about the weird and wonderful cast of characters that will help Yoku in his role? You do now!
Released today is the latest trailer from Team17 and Yoku’s Island Express developer, Villa Gorilla – one that introduces us to the colourful characters who will be dotted around the Mokumana Island.
As Yoku gets ready for an easy life delivering post and parcels, it won’t take long before he finds out that not all is well in this gorgeous world. See, Mokuma, the island deity is trapped in a slumber and his nightmares are causing quakes and storms the world over.
Yoku embarks on a noble quest to save the troubled god, but he will need to traverse the island using a unique blend of pinball mechanics in order to do so, meeting a whole host of quirky villagers along the way!
Meet Fosfor who craves tasty Cove Mushrooms; Ohm, Tilo and Jamja the mountaineers clambering the Mt. Peak trail; Spina, Juice Master Jeepers and the rest of the Skull Gang and many, many more wonderful characters in the trailer below!
If you like what you see then keep your diaries clear for the entirity of Q2 2018, as that is when Yoku’s Island Express will come rolling to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC. We’ll let you know the exact date once it has been announced.
